Body Painting || Brooklyn, NY

Quick Tips Below

Nestled in a quiet unassuming street of Brooklyn, New York is the Denart NYC Body Painting Studio that provides a very sexy and unique date night experience. It’s run by a professional artist who sets up his studio space specifically to invite non-artists to explore their creative and sexy sides together. The idea is to have a couple hours to paint your partner’s body which can bring out the artist's side of the painter, and make the painted feel like a fabulous canvas to be admired.
We were living in Manhattan and took the L Train to Graham Ave Station. We had dinner in the East Williamsburg neighborhood and then walked a short 10 minutes to the studio. We rang the buzzer and the artist came to unlock the security door and lead us down the hallway. The entrance is broody and inviting with strategic dark lighting and candles. He had a coat rack and single bathroom conveniently located right inside his space. He then led us through a door into his studio, which was large with black curtains over the windows, his own personal paintings hung on the walls to admire, and a full length mirror that would become strategic later in this story. He also had a tarp laid out in the middle of the room and a stool with black-light paints, dozens of brushes, and a water cup.

He told us that normally he has two couples per session, but since we were close to a major holiday, it had been a quiet weekend and it would just be us that evening. I was feeling a bit intimidated and daunted at what to do next, but he did a great job at guiding us through the initial process. He explained a few techniques for using black-light paints, offered us wine (for purchase), and told us he’d be in the other room if we needed anything or wanted help with techniques. He politely left and gave us space to collect our thoughts. Having a time limit of 1.5 hours, we immediately stripped down and then gave a nervous giggle. I was initially topless in a skin-tone thong (which I wore intentionally in case we wanted to paint over it), and Dax was in his glow-in-the-dark MeUndies.
On the train over to the event, we both started looking up ideas of what we wanted to paint. Dax loves Van Gogh’s Starry Night which I was leaning towards, and that gave him the idea to do one of my favorite paintings, Klimt’s The Kiss. Feeling very overwhelmed, I pulled up a picture and asked for help in getting started. He gave me some really helpful pointers that allowed me to launch in with more playful confidence. I did a full base of blue on Dax’s sexy naked chest, and then proceeded to add yellow stars and swirls of sultry nighttime colors swooshing across his body and up his neck.
Once we hit around our halfway point, we switched roles. At this point, I stripped down completely and was standing naked in the blacklight studio. Dax called the artist in for some tips on how to get started on his own masterpiece. The artist was very respectful and showed him some techniques while using me as the canvas. Dax took over the brushes and paints and had a super fun time splashing the Art Nouveau style across my body. For my part, being a canvas is incredibly sexy and sensual. My pussy was throbbing from the sensual connection of my partner being so close to but not touching my body, the softness of the brushes and the cool paint against my skin, and the rule-following submission of having to stand still when all I wanted to do was wiggle in excitement.
Finally, when we both completed our masterpieces, we admired ourselves in the full length mirror and took lots of sexy pictures. We then had a few minutes left and I planted a sunflower on Dax’s ass-cheek (one of my favorite parts of his body) for a playful final touch. We then got dressed and trekked our way back home. But not before one final, incredibly sexy, game of flashing each other in public.
Since this was the dead of winter, we had full layers on which just made us feel like we had these sexy secrets that nobody knew about. We were waiting for our train at the Bedford Ave subway station, and since it was so late, it was almost empty. So we wandered to the very end of the station where we had some privacy. The next train to come by wasn’t ours, so as it rolled past us, I pulled up my sweater and flashed Dax and any unsuspecting train riders. Being topless is technically legal in New York City, but it still felt naughty and was completely unexpected which is the best kind of fun.

The best part about New York is that you could even make a whole day out of it by walking across the Brooklyn Bridge in the late afternoon, having dinner in DUMBO while getting a stunning view of Manhattan at sunset, and then moseying on over (by subway or rideshare) to Denart’s studio for a unique experience. Whether you live in the area, or are visiting and have a free night for a sexy adventure, this was an excellent date night to reconnect as a couple, explore our creative sides, and have a sexy little shared secret on the way home.
Quick Tips:
- You have to book the event ahead of time
- The paint will get on the inside of your clothes, but it all washed out in one cycle (we wore cotton and denim - I can’t vouch for other materials)
- The paint takes a good ~10 minutes to dry. If you’re painting up until the last second, it will get on your clothes and maybe smear
- Be mindful of what you want to be visible after you leave. If you want to show it off, paint up the neck, down the arms, etc. and wear clothes that flaunt your work. If you’re uncomfortable with strangers staring or are going somewhere conservative afterwards, make sure to only paint the parts of the body that your clothes can cover
- Come with ideas. The clock starts after the artist’s quick intro and tutorial
- Download pictures on your phone for reference (unless you’re a seasoned artist)
- Take lots of pictures in the studio. It won’t look the same once you’re out of the blacklights and the paint has rubbed off on your clothes
